Rule #1 - No party poopers!

Today, when I dropped Haleigh off at school, of course she didn't want to go, so I was coercing her! I told her that tomorrow is your Halloween party, so when I pick you up today, we're going to pick out a cake! And she says "AGAIN?" to the party part...and you should have seen her face. On Saturday, we celebrated Lauren's and Pa's Bday! So, she's all PARTIED OUT! The look on her face was..."another party?" And I said Rule #1 - No Party Poopers Allowed! We never get tired of having parties to go to! It's a Girl Rule!

Comparison

This is a photo of Haleigh when she's probably about Addison's age. When Addison was born, so many people said she looked like Haleigh, I never saw any resemblance. Though, when I look at this pic of Haleigh, I do see Addison ~ just thought I would share...

Our lil pumpkin, Haleigh's 1st Halloween

I was going through old pictures last night and came across these. This was Haleigh's first Halloween. She was 8 weeks old. She's wearing a preemie onesie that Amy's mom bought her! I remember the weather was terrible - really cold and raining - so we didn't really get to get out. But isn't our lil pumpkin adorable?!

HAPPY 30th STEF!

Whew! Busy weekend!

Whew! We had a busy weekend! The photos start out with Katy Rice Harvest Festival on Sunday. Saturday, Aunt Glenda and Uncle David came over and played with Haleigh and Addison while Mommy went to the Scarecrow Festival. Haleigh had a blast because she got lots of presents and went to Chuck E Cheese! And she loved spending time with Aunt Glenda and Uncle David! She wanted to go home with them. Friday night, we celebrated Stefanie's 30th birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEF! Will post a photo later. Thursday evening we went to watch Dylan play baseball while the girls enjoyed playing in the dirt.

I'm taking a poll, DARNIT!

Do you think "DARNIT" is a bad word for a 3 year old?! The other day I overheard Haleigh in Addison's room doing something and she was shouting it repeatedly! It was starting to run together, so I started doubting if I was hearing her right. Eddie walked in the door and I told him to sneak up on her and listen. He said she wasn't saying DARNIT. So, this morning, while getting in the truck, she said it - loud and clear. And just to make sure, I asked her, did you just say DARNIT?! And she said "yes" and smiled so innocently. I told her not to say it anymore - that's a bad word! So, I called Eddie on the way to school and told him the whole story. He said, at least she's not saying the alternative...but I went on about how does she know that word? blah blah blah...I don't say it! All the while, she is overhearing our conversation, obviously, because when I get to school and open the door to get her out - she looks at me and says "SpongeBob says DARNIT!" Well, so far the jury agrees with Eddie. Thanks, SpongeBob - darn you!

National Night Out

Last night we enjoyed ice cream treats with our neighbors for National Night Out. The weather was great despite the torrential downpour that morning. It was super muddy! As you can tell in the pic of all the kiddos - Haleigh was really concerned about having mud all over her shoes! She's not looking at the camera! She kept trying to use wet wipes to get it off!

Funny

Yesterday, as soon as I picked Haleigh up, she informed me that she wanted Lauren to come over. So, she used my cell phone to call and ask Miss Tracye. Since Miss Tracye didn't answer, so Haleigh says "Mommy, your phone no working...maybe you can get another one when get home." It was HILARIOUS! You probably just had to be there!

1st TOOTH!

Addison is getting her first tooth! How exciting! She definitely beat Haleigh! Haleigh didn't get her 1st tooth until after she turned one. Yea Addison!

The weather has been great! We took advantage and took the kids to eat at Willie's for lunch on Saturday! They enjoyed playing in the sandbox as long as they weren't fighting over so and so has "MY" toy or so and so got sand in my eye! Haleigh is the biggest tattle tale of them all!

Preparing for Halloween

BOO!

LAST weekend, we decorated the inside of the house with our Halloween decorations. Now, everyday Haleigh asks, or should I say states, that Halloween is tomorrow. I guess that's what I get for starting a month ahead of time. But this is one of our fave times of the year! It's like Christmas! So, we bought a countdown calendar, so she can count the days till Trick or Treat time! This Friday I finally got the stuff out of the attic for the front yard. Haleigh was my little helper. As I got the stuff out of the attic and handed it to her...she would say "GOOD JOB MOMMY" ~ too cute!
